These videos will be publicly distributed through the \u200b<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/c\/acmsigchi\/featured\">ACM YouTube channel\u200b.<\/a> We will ask all presenters to create two videos:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A 10 minute presentation video discussing your submission (this is the conference talk)<\/li>\n<li>A 30 second teaser video to advertise your work-this video will be shared through social media to help encourage people to view your paper and longer presentation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Accepted submissions will be required to submit their videos by May 13th <em>(time &#8211; anywhere on earth AoE)<\/em>. This will ensure enough time for us to process the videos, add the conference banner to them, and upload to the ACM YouTube Channel (check out the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/playlist?list=PLqhXYFYmZ-VfeKBuXZimH6QOBreyHvAJI\">DIS 2020 papers<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/playlist?list=PLqhXYFYmZ-VdFnB5DZ8033YPk1FlESoQS\">pictorials video<\/a> playlists for samples!)<\/p>\n<h3>Video Creation Guidance<\/h3>\n<h5>10 minute conference video<\/h5>\n<p>Presentation format:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Recommended<\/strong>: full-screen screencast of the slides, with a picture-in-picture video of the presenter<\/li>\n<li>Acceptable Alternatives: full screen of slides with audio of speaker or slides and speaker video side-by-side.<\/li>\n<li>Other presentation formats can be used (e.g. include a short demo in the presentation), keeping in the spirit of what kind of presentation you would have delivered at the conference<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Video Format: .<strong>mp4<\/strong> (required)<br \/>\nResolution: <strong>Recommended: 1920&#215;1080<\/strong> \/\/ Acceptable Alternative: 1280 x 720<br \/>\nFile Size Limit: <strong>300mb<\/strong><br \/>\nDuration Limit: <strong>10 minutes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For information on creating a remote video check out: <a href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/sigchi\/a-remote-video-presentation-guide-93957c63aa7a\">A Remote Video Presentation Guide | by David Ayman Shamma | ACM SIGCHI<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sigchi.org\/conferences\/author-resources\/video-guide\/\">See also the SIGCHI Author Resources Video Guide<\/a><\/p>\n<p>All videos must be accompanied by SRT closed captions. For information on creating SRT captions please see: <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1wQi_ufPhhhHciP_UGvFRKfJEhGDFErBa1qvNaIiCxaI\/edit?usp=sharing\">Caption Instructions for Authors<\/a><\/p>\n<p>To get your videos down to under 300MB, you can Re-encode videos to reduce their file size:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For MacOS, Windows and Linux, Handbrake (<a href=\"https:\/\/handbrake.fr\/downloads.php\">https:\/\/handbrake.fr\/downloads.php<\/a>) is a free software that can be used re-encode videos to MP4.<\/li>\n<li>For those who prefer command-line tools, ffmpeg is a great choice (<a href=\"https:\/\/ffmpeg.org\">https:\/\/ffmpeg.org<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>30s Video preview<\/h5>\n<p>For your 30-second teaser video, think about your quick pitch for why people should check out your amazing paper! Feel free to be a bit more creative with these as they are advertisements for your longer video. The only thing we ask is to have a 4 second title slide with the title, authors, and affiliations. We will share these on the DIS 2021 social media account when we advertise your paper.<\/p>\n<p>Some guidance for creating your teaser video:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>File size must be under 20 MB<\/li>\n<li>Video duration must be 30 seconds or less<\/li>\n<li>Video resolution must be at 1080p (1920 x 1080)<\/li>\n<li>Video file must use the MPEG-4 format (.mp4) with the H.264 codec<\/li>\n<li>16:9 aspect ratio recommended<\/li>\n<li>The preview should contain a title slide with the title, authors, and affiliations.
