The DIS 2022 Doctoral Consortium provides current doctoral candidates unique opportunities to present their projects to receive feedback from, and engage in exchanges with researchers and peers in design-related fields from around the world, in a stimulating, open, and safe environment.<\/p>\n
You must be enrolled in a discipline that is related to \u201cDesigning Interactive or Intelligent Systems\u201d as a doctoral candidate at the time of submitting your application and at the time of the conference. You will get most value from attending if you already possess a clear direction for your thesis but have not yet finished your research. However, people at other stages may be considered. We are expecting to accept up to 10-12 candidates.<\/p>\n
As part of the Doctoral Consortium, we invite a broad range of design-oriented submissions, including but not exclusively to the conference theme \u201cDigital Wellbeing\u201d.<\/p>\n
Submissions must be done through the Precision Conference submission system (PCS)<\/a>.<\/p>\n Document 1: PhD Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n The first document should be a four-page research description (excluding references). Use the ACM Master Article Submission Templates<\/a> (single column) template and include the following:<\/p>\n Document 2: Supporting Materials<\/strong><\/p>\n The supporting document should include the following (you may format the documents as you see fitting):<\/p>\n Review Process<\/strong><\/p>\n Submissions will be reviewed by the Doctoral Consortium Chairs. Participation in the Doctoral Consortium will be limited to candidates who have been accepted into the Consortium.<\/p>\n Registration<\/strong><\/p>\n If you are accepted to the Doctoral Consortium, we will send you registration instructions. Participation in the Doctoral Consortium is free of charge to the invited participants.
