Attending DIS from outside the European Union
When attending the DIS 2024 conference in Denmark (DK), it is essential to submit your business visa application well in advance and at least 15 days before your intended entry into the Schengen area if you are a citizen of a country with a visa requirement to avoid processing delays. It is possible to apply up to 6 months before travel.
Use the online ApplyVisa platform for applications, and refer to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Denmark website for detailed guidelines and a list of visa requirements. Here, you can also find an overview of current visa processing times in the country you are applying from.
ACM is able to provide visa support letters to registered attendees, authors, and speakers with accepted papers/posters/talks, as well as conference committee members. Please allow up to 10 business days for your information to be reviewed and your support letter to be processed. All requests are handled in the order they are received.
NB. However, in many cases, that letter won’t suffice since it is not stated from within Schengen. In those cases, please contact chairs@dis2024.acm.org with the specific information requirements stated by the embassy
